Logo Design
When I took on this project, the Futuristic Face Painter had no logo or icon to easily represent himself online. It’s easy to spot his artwork on the happy faces of his clients because of the vibrant colors and intricate designs. I created his logo after seeing one of the faces he had painted using a similar design.
Website Redesign
The old website Futuristic Face Paint had been using was very busy. There were auto-play videos and music nested on the homepage that caused the load to be sluggish and loud, literally. The layout was less than ideal and the navigation was difficult.
We had to re-examine what was important and what the viewer needed to see. The bright colors and smiling faces needed to stay, but I organized the homepage so that it was easier to digest the information upon scroll. I added in a straightforward menu bar and buttons to aid in the user’s navigation of the website.
The old website was also not very mobile-friendly. The new redesign is responsive to be viewable on phones, tablets, and desktops without issue. The images have been resized to load easier as well.
Lastly, while the bulk of the copy was supplied by the client, I edited, focused on keywords, and optimized it to be search engine friendly.
